Minimum Safe Manning

Portugal does not compromise in Safety. The Minimum Safe Manning regulations are strictly following the IMO and EU directives in regards to standards of training, watchkeeping and certification. The Minimum Safe Manning of ships registered in MAR is taking into account the ship's size, type (e.g. Dry Cargo Vessel, Tanker, Vehicle Carrier, Passenger Ship) and total engine output in kW.
