All five providers – CLSFulcrumPole StarSatPro and Transas – are permitted to test.

Portugal does not grant any type approval. Any equipment can be used as long as it passes the Conformance Test. See also Cirulcar Informativa N° 4.

Every vessel shall be accounted by a Radio Accounting Authority (RAA) - recognized by Portugal's National Authority for Management & Regulation in Communications (ANACOM). You will find a list of RAA and PSA, which are recognized by Portugal, under Downloads > Others > List of Recognized Radio Accounting Authorities RAA.

You can nominate a preferred supplier for the so-called Point of Service Activation (PSA), who then acts as a partner when it comes to declaration, change or cancellation of radio equipment. The PSA has to be recognized by the national authority – in case your Radio Accounting Authority is not listed as recognized PSA, please contact EUROMAR:
